Singing has always been an interwoven part of Stevie Vallance's rich tapestry. An Emmy-winner for her voice-over work in animation (Madeline/Disney) Stevie's career as a singer/story-teller spreads across 3 decades from the Charlottetown Festival to L.A. where she played 'Sylvie' on Knots Landing, 'Jenny' on The Ropers (Norman Fell, Audra Lindley, Jeffrey Tambor) and 'Whazzat' on Zoobilee Zoo. Stevie is THRILLED to be debuting at the Jazz Bistro, where she'll be performing favourites from her 4 CDs with Jazz Masters: Ted Quinlan (guitar), Neil Swainson (bass) and Brian Dickinson (piano). Stevie's first Jazz CD Practically Naked was recorded in 1998 with Michael Creber, Rene Worst and Buff Allen. One critic described it as "an unforgettable piece of music history, sung with a warmth and grace that sends shivers down the spine." Her second CD Always is a salute to the legendary country singer Patsy Cline. Vallance's next Jazz CD Make My Night was released in 2008 with Pat Coleman, Ross Taggart, Mike Herriot, Tom Colclough, Buff Allen and Miles Hill. CBC Radio's Paul Grant said "Vallance's voice sounds fabulous... mature, well-recorded, comfortable, sexy." Stevie's forth CD Three Davids features music composed by David Warrack, David Shire and David Frishberg. www.StevieVallance.com

~ Ross Porter, CEO JazzFM, Toronto
"Intimate, vulnerable yet full of passion; able to caress a word,
shape a phrase so that it comes alive.
This is an evening with the voice of Stevie Vallance."
~ Medicine Hat Jazz Festival
"Stevie Vallance, here's a vocalist with something to say
and a sensational way of saying it!"
