Singing since she was eight years old, Stevie Vallance has had a varied career in show business. Most of it has been music related, but the Vancouverite detoured into acting in her early 20's when she landed recurring roles in the prime time soap opera "Knots Landing", the sitcom "The Ropers" and as a detective on "Night Heat". But music has always been her main passion - even during the time she voiced a number of characters in more than 30 cartoon series, a job which led to her directing the animated classic "Madeline" for which she originated the voice of Ms. Clavel and Geniveve and earned her the nickname Cartoon Queen. But a two-year tour of Western Canada performing Patsy Cline led her back to singing and, more importantly, jazz, where she says she has found her musical home. Feeling at ease in the genre led to PRACTICALLY NAKED, Vallance's first jazz album that is a collection of favorite jazz standards and pop classics.
